The fable evoking the doctor for the poor: dispatched free of charge and the one for the rich, attentive and benevolent, paid consultations of course.
The artist was a pupil of Jean Antoine Gros and caricatured French society with bonhomie:the cries of Paris, street urchins, the working class, servants, doctors, bourgeois and justiciables.
His contemporaries being Daumier or even Gavarni.
Condition: In its used condition, some foxing on the lithographs.
Giltwood frame, wear from use ( see photos).
