Antique Anglo-indian Burmese Silver Repoussé Tazza Footed Bowl 685g 21.5cm

This is an antique footed tazza or offering bowl, constructed from silver with a total weight of 685 grams. The object consists of an octagonal flared bowl mounted on a baluster stem and a circular flared base, measuring 18 cm in height and 21.5 cm in diameter. The interior of the bowl features a central circular medallion depicting a high-relief profile of a figure in traditional ceremonial dress. The eight sides of the bowl are divided into alternating panels; four panels contain embossed floral motifs, while the other four contain figural representations. The upper rim of the bowl is finished with a pierced and scalloped decorative edge. The baluster stem is embellished with raised floral medallions and a textured band near the bottom. The circular base is decorated with continuous, finely chased foliate and scroll patterns. The piece exhibits visible hammering marks on the interior surfaces from the hand-working process.
