Mahogany Library Table Louis XVIth Period Stamped Etienne Avril - XVIIIth Century
Superb mahogany library table, Louis XVI period, stamped by Étienne Avril, ébéniste reçu maître en 1774.
This elegant little library table bears the stamp "E. Avril" as well as the hallmark of jurande, visible on the inside upright of the large drawer.
The rectangular top (76 x50), with rounded corners, has a delicate rim to hold books in place. The whole rests on a graceful tapered, carved base, ending in small castors.
With its beautiful sobriety, this table seduces with the purity of its line and the quality of its workmanship.
It will easily find its place as a library table, sideboard or small desk.
