A Pair Of Provencal Armchairs.
A pair of Provençal armchairs in walnut and chestnut with straw seats, presumably original and covered with galettes, whose interior we completely replaced as they were in poor condition. We also treated the wood seriously as a preventive measure, as it showed signs of xylophagous insects. So the problem is solved.
Although not very comfortable, these armchairs are very decorative, very much in the spirit of this region, and date from the first part of the 19th century, around 1830-1850. Minor restorations are to be noted, which is quite understandable for seats of this period.
