Second Prix de Rome in paintingpainting (1910), Prix de Rome in engraving (1911). Stays in Italy.Travels in France, Germany and Austria. Founding member and leaderof the Nervia group (1928). From 1922, often takes part in the salons of the Montois circle Le Bon Vouloir. This circle organizes two tribute exhibitions (1956 and 1971).Director of the Mons Academy (1929 - 1949). Member of the AcadémieAcadémie royale de Belgique (1947). Works in various Print Cabinets andMuseums of Antwerp, Binche, Brussels, La Louvière, Liège, Mons and Tournai.Tournai, Barcelona, Madrid, Riga and Indianapolis.
