Nineteenth-century full ivory vellum binding, Jansenist boards, smooth spine decorated with gilt filets gras et maigres, old-red morocco title-piece, gilt title, speckled edges.

Rare first edition.

It opens with an engraved architectural title page and additionally contains 8 engraved plates and a large illustration in the text; itself engraved.
Each of these plates has been carefully colored in watercolor (with the exception of the last; only partially colored).
