Beautiful sculpture in white Carrara marble depicting the maternity resting on an original onyx base.
This marble sculpture bears the signature "A.Gory" of the Florentine sculptor Affortunato Gori ( active between 1895 and 1925 ) , real name Fortunato Gory .
After studying in Florence under Auguste Rivalta ; our sculptor moved to Paris at the beginning of the 20th century and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1902 until 1923.
Art Deco period , a work circa 1920.
