Large Afghan Ziegler rug with a floral design inspired by the famous Persian Heriz and Sultanabad patterns. There are five areas of wool loss on one side and five more in the same alignment on the opposite side (visible in the last two photos), which do not detract from the rug's beauty or durability. The presence of abrasches, or variations in color due to exposure to light and sun over time, contributes to the piece's authentic character.
