China 19-20th, Qing Dynasty, Pair Of Cloisonné Ducks
Charming pair of small Chinese cloisonné enamel ducks dating from the late 19th century.
These decorative objects feature rich polychrome decoration in predominantly midnight blue, embellished with floral and stylized motifs in cloisonné enamels on gilded metal mounts.
Each duck has a delicately worked removable lid, suggesting a decorative function or small incense burners / ceremonial incense boxes.
The cloisonné work is fine and highly decorative, with a beautiful antique patina visible on the gilded bases.
China, 19-20th
Dimensions: length approx. 10 cm each
Good overall antique condition.
Wear and light traces of age consistent with antiquity: rubbing under the bases, minor gilding wear and minor enamel irregularities not serious.
