Large circular Japanese porcelain dish in the Imari style, made in Japan during the Meiji period, circa 1880-1900. Polychrome and gold decoration on a white background, composed of asymmetrical reserves decorated with female figures in traditional costume, birds, flowers and stylized fans. Outer wing with cobalt-blue background and gold motifs. Reverse decorated with underglaze blue motifs and bearing a red mark under the base.
