Roger Colas A Clamecy: Large Earthenware Vase With Baluster Body And Wide Flared Neck
Roger Colas a Clamecy: Important earthenware vase with baluster body and wide flared neck, decorated with an elegant polychrome floral design
The main decoration consists of a rich bouquet of flowers treated with finesse: peonies, tulips and small florets in shades of pink, blue and green, enhanced by yellow and orange details.
The ensemble is framed by rocaille reserves and cartouches in pink monochrome, typical of the 18th-century decorative repertoire revisited in the 19th.
The border, neck and base are highlighted with a deep pink enamel, providing an elegant decorative contrast against the slightly cracked cream background.
The reverse bears a handwritten inscription (numbering or workshop mark), with no visible printed mark.
Very fine decorative presence, ideal as an ornamental piece or for a large floral composition.
