Pair Of Miniatures - Chateau And Its Park - Early 19th Century
A pair of miniature oil-on-board paintings depicting a neoclassical chateau on the shores of a lake, followed by the chateau grounds with beehives. They are presented in their original blackened wood frame, with domed glass and gilded brass window. First half of the 19th century, circa 1840.
Beautiful set, complete as a pair, one of those small details that make an early 19th century decoration authentic.
Very good condition, small chip paint skip in the sky of the beehive miniature, the castle one intact. The miniatures have been dismantled to clean the windows, everything is clean and ready to hang.
