Lurçat Jean (1892-1966)
The master of contemporarytapestry turned to ceramics in the early50s. He regularly visited the Sant-Vicens pottery workshop, created by Firmin Bauby at Perpignan. There, he decorated dishes, vases,jugs and other everyday objects. His work as a ceramistceramist is also marked by monumental creations, such as the onethe one that adorns the Maison de la Radio in Strasbourg.
