After studying aeronautical engineering, Jacques Blin worked in this field for several years as a designer; attracted by the plastic arts, he approached ceramics, then devoted himself entirely to it from 1948-1949. In 1954, he set up a workshop in Paris and exhibited at the Maison de la Chimie and the Salon des Céramistes et métiers d'art. His molded pieces with speckled enamel and engraved decorations of primitive birds and animals are highly sought after.
