Rare pair of M114 chairs by architect and designer Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina in 1962. Like Gio Ponti's famous Superlegerra model, the seat and backrest are mulched using a unique and remarkable technique by craftsmen in the town of Chiavari, near Genoa. This highly technical know-how has been passed down between craftsmen since the nineteenth century and has lost none of its lightness and elegance. The pair presented here has been recently refinished by the Fratelli Levaggi workshop in Chiavari. Seat heights range from 43 to 41 cm.
