Mahogany Bed By André Sornay, Circa 1960
Artist: André Sornay
Mahogany bed designed by André Sornay circa 1960, using the patented tigette assembly system characteristic of the Lyon workshop's mid-20th century production.
The structure is made entirely of solid mahogany, with sober, rectilinear lines. The headboard is composed of a wooden frame housing a cream-colored melamine panel, introducing a discreet contrast between the warmth of the wood and the light-colored surface. The bed features a single mattress covered with a Nobilis wool sheet.
