Original Mid 19th Century Swedish Academic Oil Portrait Lady In Bonnet Framed

There is a handwritten note on the reverse of the stretcher, reading in Swedish: 'Måladt af Professor Wilhelm Wallander intygas Greta Fahlcrantz född Fahlstedt' ('Painted by Professor Wilhelm Wallander, certified by Greta Fahlcrantz, née Fahlstedt'). Works by J. W. Wallander are held in the permanent collections of major Scandinavian institutions, including the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm.
