Claude Chéreau was a French painter of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
u revers cachet from the sale of the painter's studio by Maitre Claude Robert in Paris in 1972.He frequented the Parisian painters of the Bateau Lavoir before traveling around France (Pays Basque,Creuse...). He was greatly influenced by Marquet. He was a frequent visitor to Gargilesse, where he crossed paths with Detroy, Osterlind and Coucy, and today belongs to the Crozant school.
