Georges Levreau (1867-1936) was a French painter whose work is composed of numerous portraits, still lifes and landscapes. He is credited with decorating the Italian-style theater in La Roche-sur-Yon in 1888, and is also known for his decorations for the La Cigale brasserie in Nantes, which he created in 1895.
The work is sold unprepared, unrestored, we report traces of wear due to the passage of time, it remains in presentable and acceptable condition with a ceruse frame (rather mid-twentieth century).
