German or Dutch school, Cavalière en amazone faisant l'aumône, oil on oak panel, XVIIIe century.
An artist obviously influenced by Jacques Courtois, Philips Wouwerman (an old label on the back attributes this panel to him), but more likely working in the circle of August Querfurt (1696-1761), who treated subjects in all respects similar.
Great composition, without any restoration or alteration, in its very elegant antique frame with lovely patina.
