Proceram Fish Service

A complete service on a green background of twelve plates with a sauceboat (diam. 18 x h 8 cm), each representing a different Mediterranean fish:
Crenilabre vert, Labre vert, Sole, Sublet, Serran, St-Pierre, Vieille, Rascasse, Vive, Maquereau, Girelle and Crenilabre oscelle.
The backs of the plates feature the name of the fish and the words "fait main"et 1958.
When J. Bourdillon took over the management of theAubagne earthenware factory in 1938, he renamed it Proceram. Itproduce all kinds of objects: tiles, ornamental panels, advertisingadvertising items... This expertise attracted many artists.
