Full leather binding, marbled endpapers, cover and spinecover and spine.

René Kieffer (1876-1963) was an art bookbinder who workedthe early 20th century until around 1950. He adopted the resolutelyArt Deco style in the 1920s. From 1919 to 1923, he produced bindingsbindings designed by Pierre Legrain for Jacques Doucet.
Illustrations by Jean-Gabriel Daragnès, book painter, engraver and illustratorborn in Bordeaux in 1886, died in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1950.He illustrated a large number of books by our greatest authors.
