Description: Biedermeier side table in lacquered wood, circa 1815, enhanced by a lacquer finish applied at a later date. The piece features a single top. Constructed with slender proportions and compact dimensions, it features a slightly contoured rectangular top, a front drawer, and a connecting lower shelf. The legs are fluted, tapered, and slightly curved, a feature that visually lightens the structure. The surface is finished with a light gray lacquer. Natural wear on the finish, visible along the edges, corners, and contact surfaces, reveals the underlying wood. The piece is suitable for use as a side table or small writing desk, maintaining a discreet and functional presence within spaces furnished with historical pieces.
