Rare musical mug featuring the score and lyrics of an 18th-century chanson galante "Besoin d'Amour". On the cup is the score with notes and lyrics of the first stanza. On the saucer, the words of the second stanza. Superb fine gold decoration of pine cones and palmettes in matte and glossy, the interior entirely gilded in glossy, which, once the cup is full of coffee, gives the illusion of drinking gold. Empire - Restoration period work, early 19th century, attributed to the Manufacture Dagoty.

The score is inspired by Mauro Giuliani's 3ᵉ romance from Opus 13 by Mauro Giuliani, published in 1810 in Vienna, the lyrics of which are repirsed on the saucer.

Very fine collector's cup in excellent condition, slight gold wear on the text in the center of the saucer. The rest in almost mint condition. No damage to the porcelain.

Cup height: 6.3cm
Cup diameter: 6.1cm
Saucer diameter: 12.9cm
