Beautiful late century, (19th) during the great fashion of Japonisme,
a beautiful vestibule lantern oil or candle lantern, which rises and falls according to the lighting of these fuels, with the help of chains, and which still works.
The verrine is splendid, glass or crystal, two-layered, opalized and oxblood red, acid-etched in this beautiful 3-medallion design:
fisherman at work, Imperial crane in a lakeside landscape, woman and child.
It's superb, and  glassware is in good condition.
