Elegant oval porcelain box with polychrome relief decoration signed Denys.
The lid is richly hand-painted depicting an allegorical scene with several nude figures or draped in light fabrics.
In particular, figures are arranged around a central reclining figure in an archtectural decoration with a black and white checkerboard ground.
The inside of the box is dotted with small blue flowers.
The outline is also decorated with female figures.
A gilded metal border highlights the junction between the lid and the base adding to the luxurious appearance of the object.
