Exceptional Lapis Lazuli music box by REUGE, with its singing mechanical bird. Each face of the music box is covered with semi-precious stone, the Lapis-Lazuli, and make to the eye a "milky way" appearance. The color of the blue is visually balanced perfectly.
The upper part of the box is painted with floral motifs and signed "H Seiltert".
The bird alone is composed of 25 pieces assembled by hand and 4 hours are necessary to create its plumage. The automaton movement is also entirely manufactured and assembled by hand by craftsmen whose know-how is transmitted from generation to generation.
