Elegant pair of fine earthenware dishes of scalloped form, fitted with openwork side grips, adorned with delicate landscape decor treated in black cameo.

Each dish features a different scene:

- one depicting an animated landscape with fortification and river,

- the other a bucolic landscape with trees by the water.

The decoration, finely executed in a spirit akin to etching or wash, is framed by an eventful marli highlighted with black fillet, lending the whole a beautiful classical harmony.

Marked on the reverse HBC France (Hippolyte Boulenger & Cie, Choisy-le-Roi), a factory renowned for the quality of its productions.
