Daum Nancy Et Louis Majorelle Rare Basin Hanging Lamp Ceiling Lamp Art Nouveau
Beautiful Art Nouveau chandelier in multi-layered glass, the result of a magnificent partnership between Daum and Louis Majorelle.
Fine acid-etched revolving decoration of a round of dark purple flowers and foliage on a mottled background of turquoise-blue and yellow intercalated powders. Excellent engraving quality !
Beautiful effects of material transparency that vary according to the angle from which it is viewed (see photos).
Original mount by Louis Majorelle in wrought iron and cut sheet metal, hammered fasteners and ram cover. The whole has an anthracite-gray patina with foliate motifs repeating the floral theme.
Signature on escutcheon "Daum Nancy France" with cameo Lorraine cross circa 1910.
