Pair Of Large Mirrors In The George II Style, London, Circa 1770, Label Of William Froom
Artist: William Froom
The mirrors of gilted wood and stucca feature a magnificent asymmetrical design, embellished with rocaille motifs, shell ornaments and scrolls. The candlesticks, in gilded lead, are highly worked.
Adhesive label on the back, signed William Froom, London.
It can be assumed that Froom sold these two mirrors in his store, but they certainly date from an earlier production.
Very good condition, with some minor retouching and consolidation measures.
