Pair Of Louis XVI Period Oak Cabriolet Armchairs - 18th Century
Pair of Louis XVI period oak cabriolet armchairs – 18th century.
The frame ornamentation is particularly refined: floral decoration adorns the back and armrests, while the seat rail features an antique-style frieze, highlighted by a garland of pearls.
The edges of the armchairs are punctuated with fluted geometric motifs, complemented by finely carved foliate connecting blocks. The legs are tapered and fluted. The upholstery consists of a needlepoint tapestry with floral and ribbon decoration, made in the 19th century.
The tapestry is presented as is, with some slight signs of wear consistent with its age and without detracting from its aesthetic appeal.
