Jean Didier Debut , was a French sculptor , originally from Moulins , born on June 4 , 1824 .
A student of "David d'Angers" , Didier Debut exhibited at the Salon from 1848 and won the second Prix de Rome in 1851 .
He took part in the great Parisian monument decoration projects of the second half of the 19th century , for the City Hall , the Garnier Palace and the Court of International Trade .
The sculptor died on April 5 , 1893 at his Paris home , Bethune quay .
His son , Marcel Début (1865-1933) was a painter and sculptor .
