Elegant and rare carved, painted and richly gilded Louis XV wood jardinière d'apparat, resting on a visually light double scroll openwork base.

The body adopts a cradle-shaped movement, typical of 18th-century Rococo taste, animated by asymmetrical curvesasymmetrical curves, shells and finely carved foliage. Thepanels are adorned with painted scenes with country decor, depicting putti moving in a bucolic landscape, in the spirit of gallant decor.

The east interior of the jardinière is fitted with a zinc basin

The whole is sublimated by an antique polychromy in pastel tones and a patinated gilding, giving the piece an authentic charm and a beautiful decorative presence.

Theslender, elegant base features particularly meticulous openwork carvingwork, resting on curved legs joined by a scallopedscrolled brace.
