Art Nouveau Middle Table, Gustave Serrurier- Bovy, In Mahogany.
Artist: Gustave Serrurier- Bovy (1858-1910)
Interesting Art Nouveau center table attributed to Gustave Serrurier Bovy (1858-1910).
Trained as an architect, he and his wife Maria Bovy founded the "Maison Serrurier- Bovy, aménagement d'intérieur"
in Liège. In 1898, he expanded his business to Paris: "Art dans l'habitatiuon".
The top, with its grooved "beak of corbin" edges, two of which are rounded, is supported by four legs,
of square section, with elegant curvature, ending in flared hooves.
The four 'arches' forming airy crosspieces, are made of small curved 'bars'.
The top-leg connection is ensured by four curved 'triangles'.
Art Deco furniture in very good original condition. Beneath the top, a trace of an illegible signature (B?).
