Superb Transition period chest of drawers, late 18th century, finely illustrating the transition from Louis XV to Louis XVI style.
It features an elegant, slightly curved front and a balanced structure, typical of this pivotal period.

It opens with five drawers arranged in three rows, three of which are in the waistband, providing ample storage space.
The fronts are richly decorated with geometric marquetry in precious wood veneer, forming particularly careful radiating motifs in rosewood and violetwood.

The frames, keyholes, handles and corner falls are in finely chased gilded bronze, bringing lustre and refinement to the ensemble.
The arched legs, adorned with bronze sabots, underline the elegance of the line.

The top is surmounted by a gray veined marble, Gris Saint Anne , molded all around, in perfect harmony with the furniture.

Very good condition, with a warm patina and varnish highlighting the richness of the veneer. Solid wood drawer interiors.
It measures 129 CM in Length ,61 CM in Depth and 86 CM in Height ,

Parisian work of the Transition period.

A high-quality piece, both decorative and functional, ideal for an art furniture collection or a refined interior.
