Small Chest Of Drawers With Two Drawers | 18th Century
A refined cabinet from the Emilia-Veneto region, dating to the mid-18th century, characterized by rare proportions and a dynamic, undulating profile on both the front and sides. The structure is entirely veneered in walnut, featuring fine nutmeg walnut arranged to create striking mirrored patterns within light-wood fillets. The upper section features two front drawers that follow the broken line of the cabinet, ensuring continuity with the blade-cut detailing. Of particular interest is the elaborate sculptural execution of the cabriole legs, which terminate in expertly carved scroll feet. It should be noted that two of the legs have undergone restoration with non-recent replacements, which, however, do not detract from the overall harmony.
