Chocolatière Solid Silver O Rooster
The poinçon Coq is one of the most emblematic French hallmarks for solid silver. It is directly linked to the post-revolutionary period and marks an important milestone in the history of precious metals control in France.
Used between 1798 and 1809, the Coq hallmark precedes the Vieillard hallmark and the Minerve. Its presence on an object therefore makes it possible to date its manufacture with relative precision.
