Wonderful shoehorn from blond veined maple wood, (the wood used for violin crosse) in shape of an inverted spoon.
Very ergonomic, thumb and index finger find their natural place on attractive herringbone carvings, under the beautiful union knot. Attachment hole and small coat of arms engraved on head of its handle.
Good condition, wear and staking at ends.
Probable period: 18th-19th century, perhaps Scandinavian?
Dimensions: 14cm x 4,5cm.
