Roland Lecavelé, known as Roland Dorgelès, born June 15, 1885 in Amiens and died March 18, 1973 in Paris, was a French journalist and writer, member of the Académie Goncourt from 1929 to 1973. He is a famous and rather unclassifiable writer. He began his career in Montmartre. During the First World War, he enlisted in combat despite being discharged for health reasons, and even became an airplane pilot, earning the Croix de Guerre. He then worked as a journalist for Le Canard Enchainé. His greatest literary success remains "Les Croix de bois". Very good condition.
