Superb Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Console, Empire Style, Retour d'Egypte.
This Console, of Rectangular Form, with Back of Ice, Opening by a Drawer a Belt, and Trimmed with a Pretty Veined Marble Top Sea Green. It rests on two tapering front mounts decorated with finely carved winged caryatids, ending in gilded bronze claw feet. The whole joined by an Interconnection Brace, forming a Shelf. Beautiful ornamentation in Bronze and Gilded Brass, such as Rings, Claws, Chutes, Escutcheons and Chopsticks. Has its own Key. Beautiful wood.
