Serge Belloni (1925–2005) – Tuileries Garden, oil on wood, circa 1970

Description:
Serge Belloni, known as "The Painter of Paris," devoted his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Day after day, in all weathers, he immortalized the ever-changing faces of the City of Light and the City of the Doges.

This fine painting transports us to Paris, offering a splendid view of the Tuileries Garden in spring—a rare subject for Belloni. He favored spending autumn and early winter in Paris, where the bare trees revealed the city’s authentic architecture and soul, while the rest of the year was dedicated to capturing Venice’s unique light.
