Watercolor On Paper André-charles Nauleau Landscape With Path 20th Century
André-Charles Nauleau (1908-1986) was a French painter born in La Roche-sur-Yon. His works are highly spontaneous. His paintings are rooted in the land, and bear witness to a vanished past. This Vendée at the turn of the century, with its old farms that no longer exist, its wet marshes with windmills, sail-powered tuna boats, the footsteps of horses echoing on the Gois passage, washerwomen washing clothes on the course of the Yon, but also Boquines wearing the traditional headdress.
The work is in good overall condition.
