Marcel Blairat is sometimes inspired by landscapes, but above all by those of Upper Egyptthose of Upper Egypt, where he spent some time. He made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1877 and participated in Parisian exhibitions, wherewhere he exhibited his orientalist watercolours.
