Large Terracotta Sculpture Signed And Dated Boizot, 1773
Boizot Louis-Simon (1743-1809) - Sculptor, pupil of Michel-Ange Slodtz, he was at the Académie de France in Rome from 1765 to 1769.
He was accepted at the Académie in 1771, where he was received in 1778 and appointed assistant professor in 1785. He was entrusted with many official portraits and appointed "Artiste en chef", in charge of sculpture at the Manufacture royale de Sèvres in 1773, where he created numerous allegorical or mythological subjects until 1800
