Large Terracotta Subject "lion At Rest", 19th Century.
The beast is lying on a terrace on which he rests and catches his breath. He has a superb mane, impressive fangs and very powerful paws. Very beautiful work of sculpture from the 19th century, in the style of Middle Ages artists in their Gothic inspiration. The lion is adorned with a beautiful brown patina; the terrace has retained its natural appearance. Rare model, in very good original condition.
