Important Model Of The Temple Of Vespasian In Giallo Antico - Grand Tour, 19th Century.
A rare mid-19th-century architectural replica in marble, representing the Vespasian Temple, the marble used is Giallo Antico (Marmor Numidicum), one of the most prestigious from antiquity recognizable by its veins ranging from pink to purplish through ochre, atelier du grand tour circa 1860.
The upper frieze faithfully reproduces ancient motifs of bucrania and sacrificial instruments (paterae and vases), while the architrave bears the partial engraved inscription "ESTITVER", a reference to the building's imperial restoration in the 3rd century. The set of three fluted columns rests on a simple rectangular base in polished black marble, creating a noble chromatic contrast typical of Roman workshops of the period.

Good condition, a natural vein or old crack stabilized on one of the columns, minor wear from use on the base, restoration of the crack possible on request.
