Pair Of Painted And Gilded Wood Armchairs With Queen Backs, Late 19th Century
Pair 1.
Pair of armchairs "dossier à la Reine" in painted and gilded wood, late 19th century.
Beautiful models, part of a series of eight.
Six were perfectly crafted based on an 18th-century pair stamped Cheneva (Jacques Chenevat, chair and bed maker, master on December 6, 1763) to create a fine set.
In good overall condition, with a few stains on the fabric. The backs are upholstered in coated paper, which can be easily removed to reveal a classic fabric.
They are mounted with springs under the jaconas.
Sold as a pair or as a set. A stamped pair is forthcoming and will be sold separately.
