Louis XVI marquetry half-moon chest of drawers, breche marble top

Elegant Louis XVI style half-moon commode in precious wood veneer with geometric marquetry decoration arranged in butterfly wings.

The curved front opens with 5 central drawers framed by two arched side doors, revealing interior shelves. A drawer in the waist completes the set.

The cabinet is adorned with an inlaid frieze running under the top, as well as decorative bronzes: keyways and draw rings.

It stands on four tapered legs finished with small bronze sabots, characteristic of the Louis XVI style.

The top is topped with a superb breche marble in yellow and pink tones, thick and perfectly fitted, bringing a very beautiful decorative effect.

French work from the XIXᵉ century in the Louis XVI taste.

Very good overall condition, beautiful quality of veneer and marquetry.
