20th Century English Bar Cabinet
English bar cabinet from the first half of the 20th century. Carved and veneered walnut cabinet, complete with silver-plated metal side handles. The top handle, when turned, lifts and opens the hidden compartment inside. Once opened, we find six cocktail glasses and two liquor bottles (see photo).
The cabinet is stamped and numbered with two plaques (see photo) tracing it to the London-based company George Betjemann & Sons Ltd., renowned for its high-quality furniture between 1875 and 1939. A rare item for antique dealers and collectors, its compact size and easy placement make it ideal for a living room or study. The cabinet shows some minor signs of age, but is structurally sound. Overall, it is in good condition.
