Antique Italian painting from the late 17th/early 18th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting Christ with angels and symbols of the Passion, crafted with excellent craftsmanship. It features a plaque on the front attributing it to the famous Bolognese painter Marcantonio Franceschini (1648-1729), but no additional documentation is available. The painting's composition and the figure of Christ are very similar to the famous painting Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane by the circle of Guido Reni.
